      Atholville Volunteers Recognition

      Municipal Council is pleased to organize an evening of recognition for all volunteers in the municipality of Atholville. A dance will take place afterwards. A committee was formed to gather all the names, however, it would be best if people could get in touch with the organization they have performed volunteer work for and ensure that their name is on the list.       Emergency Measures Exercise

      EMERGENCY MEASURES EXERCISE

      On March 27, 2019, representatives of the regional emergency measures organization, Kenneth McGee, manager and Tom Levesque, coordinator, came to Atholville to meet with the emergency measures committee and members of the municipal council. The main purpose of their visit was to simulate a crisis situation that would force the opening of the Emergency Organisation Centre (EOC). This practice was really beneficial for the members around the table and gave them an overview of their roles. Another simulation "Brunswick Bravo 2019" will be held in May, but this time, it will be performed at a provincial level.

      THERE WILL BE A CHANGE IN THE SCHEDULE FOR THE RECYCLING COLLECTION FOR VAL D’AMOURS ONLY. THE COLLECTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY, APRIL 15 INSTEAD OF WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17. NO CHANGES ARE PLANNED FOR THE OTHER AREAS.
