OPENING OF GIANT TIGER STORE AT THE ATHOLVILLE SUGARLOAF MALL
On Saturday, March 16, at 7:30 a.m., the official opening of the Giant Tiger store in Atholville took place. Many people were there despite the cold and took the opportunity to do their shopping. Mayor Soucy was present to mark the opening and participate in the ribbon cutting.
International Women's Day
On March 8, a nice event took place in Val D'Amours to celebrate International Women's Day. Nearly 120 women were present and enjoyed a good time to celebrate this day, which was a real treat. Many thanks to the volunteers for their dedication and the people who presented their products.
ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Concerned about ever-increasing environmental issues, the Municipality of Atholville has joined the effort to fight climate change and the Climate Change Action Program (PACC-2) of the Association francophone des municipalités du Nouveau-Brunswick (AFMNB).
To strengthen its involvement, the Municipality has joined the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program. The simple fact of having asked for a greenhouse gas inventory and an action plan to reduce them already demonstrates the willingness of elected officials and municipal leaders to do their part in protecting air quality and the environment.
