Recognition to citizens
The Village of Atholville organizes annual events to recognize the commitment and achievements of its residents, including the recognition of many volunteers and the fire brigades in the three areas.
New Brunswick Day: Family day at Sugarloaf Park on the first Monday in August. On site: entertainment, music, BBQ, traditional cake cutting.
Evening Completely "Elles": Evening '5 to 7' to celebrate Women's Day, in the Centre de la Vallée of Val D'Amours. On site: Booths, wine of honour, music, several surprises and draws.
Christmas Parade: The first Sunday in December. Departure in the parking lot of the Atholville post office. Travel to Miller Brae Park where the Christmas tree is illuminated with background music, hot dogs and hot drinks are served.
Remembrance Day: People are invited to go to the Alma room where a ceremony is held and refreshments are served.
Summit Festival: A third edition is being prepared for 2020. The main objective of the Summit Festival is to mobilize the population of all areas of the village and develop a sense of belonging and identity among the citizens. The festival begins on August 10 and ends with festivities marking New Brunswick Day on August 15. Several activities are planned in each of Atholville's areas.
Horror Rally: The last Friday before Halloween at the Centre Plein Air de St-Arthur is a journey through the woods and be careful, anything can happen.
